Our BOUJEENESS has definitely grown over the years and we have definitely become huge fans of an airport lounge – instead of waiting at the gate or at a nearby bar. What isn’t there to love about an airport lounge? FREE food. FREE adult beverages. CLEAN bathrooms. QUIET. Did we mention FREE food and drinks? Ok. Ok. FREE is a loose term as we pay for two of the memberships we use the most often – Delta Club and United Club – as part of their upper level credit card options. In addition, through the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card, we get the Priority Pass Lounge access included with the card.
Needless to say, we will be your lounge experts so follow along with us as we visit as many lounges as possible!
The American Express Centurion Lounge is in Terminal E (international travel) near gate 11.
The lounge is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
American Express cardmembers who hold a Centurion or Platinum-branded card, including The Platinum Card® from American Express or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, have access to Amex Centurion Lounges.
Members of the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card also receive complimentary access to Centurion Lounges in the U.S., Hong Kong, and London when flying on a flight marketed or operated by Delta Air Lines.
Centurion and Corporate Platinum cardmembers are allowed to bring up to two complimentary guests into the lounge.
Platinum cardmembers must meet a $75,000 annual spending requirement on their cards to bring complimentary guests into the lounge. If this requirement is not met, a fee of $50 per adult guest and $30 per child (ages 2-17) applies. Children under 2 can enter for free.
After passing through the lounge's main relaxation area, you'll enter the central core, which showcases a 50-year-old olive tree. Drawing inspiration from Atlanta, known as "the city in the forest," Amex designed this space with abundant greenery.
In addition to the beautiful interior spaces, there are three outdoor terraces. One is privately reserved for only black card holders (not us, yet - ha!)
This Centurion lounge also is home to its fist ever Whiskey Bar - that is included! So, you can taste test a whole flight of whiskeys before your next flight. So fun!
The food and drinks in the lounge are delish, so definitely go check it out—you won't regret it!
TIP: One adult beverage per person and you must show your ID so be prepared! The lines to the bar can be long.
PRIORITY PASS - Terminal 3
Location: Landside - Enter the airport through the main door, turn right and walk to the end of the hallway.
It's a decent little lounge with two floors. Upstairs was warmer than the main floor. There is a SMALL menu to order from and a few snacks - nothing great. It is kind of loud as it is located land side and there isn't a main wall separating the lines to the airline counters from the lounge itself.
No private restrooms in the lounge. You have to exit the lounge and go down the hallway to the public restrooms.
You can pre-book The Lounge through the Priority Pass app.
There is a small children's play area inside the lounge.
United Club
Concourse B WEST
This Club has been recently remodeled and it is BEAUTIFUL! There are two floors with ample seating, bars, and decent food options.
TIP: The buffet is on the top floor, so go there for the best food options.
The remodel of the club was well worth the wait. It's decor is modern with lots of seating and charging options. It definitely doesn't feel like it is an airline club, more like a restaurant bar area.
This club leaves A LOT to be desired. Other than the adult beverages, it isn't worth a visit.
When it comes to food, the United Club lounge offers a single hot option, usually a soup, while the rest is served cold. The bar area is managed by a gentleman who is often preoccupied with conversations, leaving the food replenishment neglected.
I only access this lounge because I have the annual United Club access pass. If possible, I try to fly Delta out of Minneapolis, as their lounge is wonderful!
Proceed to the north end of the Airport Mall (towards Concourses D/E). Take the elevator or stairs located between Concourses D and E up to the Upper Level.
Yes, you can GOLF with your Priority Pass! Each cardholder and any registered guests receive $15 per person off their food OR golf experience.
The golf experience is definitely unique, and I highly recommend it for something unique to do while you wait to board.
PRIORITY PASS - Terminal B
Location: Airside - After security checks, passport control and the food court area. The lounge is located on the 3rd floor next to Gate 24.
This has been our FAVORITE lounge thus far.... why?? THE OUTDOOR POOL!
How crazy is that, right? There are bathrooms and showers available near the pool. We didn't see anyone swimming in it when we were there, but we dipped our feet into it and it felt amazing!
The food selection is not extensive, but it's decent. You'll find a variety of salads and small sandwiches to choose from. However, the real star here is the bar. The adult beverages are top-notch. We're big fans of Rum Punch, and the lounge's version was the best we've had. Just look at it! The fruit topping added a delicious twist. We'd go back just for that drink - and the pool, of course!
As for the rules, adults are treated to two complimentary alcoholic beverages. Any additional drinks will be charged. And remember, the maximum stay is two hours. But hey, that's plenty of time to enjoy the pool and a drink or two, right?
Maximum 2-hour stay. Children under the age of 2 are admitted free.
Hours: 9:00 - 18:00 daily
UNITED CLUB
Location: Terminal 2 West - Mezzanine Level above Sunset Cove, between gates 47 and 48
This lounge is pretty basic but more spacious than it looks. What makes this place great is that you can enjoy time out on the "balcony" overlooking the airport but there are glass walls and doors to separate the space from the main lounge so the noise isn't disruptive.
There really isn't food here - just light snacks but at leas there is hot food served here. Today, they had shredded beef tacos, soup, and cheese tortellini as hot food options. There is a small salad bar, desserts, and individually wrapped mini-candy bars for you to enjoy.
TIP: We usually take a coffee cup and transfer our adult beverage into it in order to leave the Club area with a beverage. We also take a coffee cup and fill it with snacks for the flight. Hey, we can be BOUJEE and frugal, right?!?
